About us
TESI Srl
Tesi Srl (TEchnical Services for the Industry) was founded in 1997 as a spin off of the Falck group, that at the time was the first private steel producer in Italy.
Thanks to many years of experience and the expertise of our staff, we have become specialized in the purchase and sale, regeneration, retrofit, installation and maintenance of plants and production lines for the coil and sheet metal processing.

Our history
1989
Following the footsteps of his great-grandfather, grandfather and father, Giuseppe Vandoni earned a Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering from the Politecnico di Milano.
1990
Vandoni was hired as a technical clerk at Acciaierie e Ferriere Lombarde-Falck in Sesto San Giovanni (MI), Italy's first private steel producer at the time, and sent to intern at SUMITOMO Metals-Japan.
1995
Vandoni is technical director of Falck Servizi, a company that incorporates the maintenance departments of the Falck Group.
1997
Vandoni founded TESI srl - Technical Services for Industry in Sesto San Giovanni, through "Management Buy Out" from Falck Servizi. One of the first orders is the transfer and revamping of a thick (40 mm) sheet metal flattening and shearing plant from Falck to Guangxi Steel-China.
1998
TESI joins the membership of Banca di Credito Cooperativo di Sesto San Giovanni.
2000
Acquisition and incorporation of Costruzioni Meccaniche Snc.
2003
Relocation of headquarters and workshop to Pessano con Bornago.
2007
Recovery and refurbishing of the former Ferrotubi coil pickling line for Iron Service - Ravenna.
2011
Implementation of 80 kW photovoltaic panels on the workshop roof.
TESI's environmental consciousness for environmental protection is asserted.
The headquarters are currently in Pessano con Bornago (MI) and occupy an area of about 8,000 m2 (of which 2,000 are roofed).
Values
“A customer is the most important visitor on our premises.
He is not dependent on us. We are dependent on him.
He is not an interruption in our work – he is the purpose of it.
We are not doing him a favor by serving him.
He is doing us a favor by giving us the opportunity to serve him.”
Mahatma Gandhi
Why buy second-hand
The overhauled machinery that comes out of our workshop often has comparable performance to the corresponding new equipment, at a fraction of its price, thus transforming projects with prohibitive cost and lead time into production facilities with a quick return on investment for the customer operating in increasingly competitive and rapidly changing markets.
- Significantly shorter delivery times.
- Reduced costs and faster return on investment.
- Savings of raw materials and energy.
All this without jeopardizing:
- Safety. We carry out risk analysis and provide the CE Certificate.
- Guarantees. Depending on the contractual conditions agreed upon we provide 6 to 12 months warranty.
- Access to credit (leasing or financing). Our machines are guaranteed and, upon request, provided with a certified declaration of conformity.
- Maintenance and technical assistance. Our technicians are always available for on-site service.
- Remote assistance. We offer integrated modems for tele-assistance on new electrical equipment.
Sustainability
Current processes of natural resource exploitation are based on a linear growth model, according to which resources are abundant, available, disposable, and cheap. We at TESI are aware that this “growth” model cannot go on, as ecosystem balances are already severely compromised. For us, the transition to a more circular economy is a necessary issue for our own and the planet’s survival.
The 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development is an action agenda for the people, the planet and prosperity, signed in September 2015 by the governments of the 193 member countries of the UN.
The Agenda includes 17 common Sustainable Development Goals – SDGs – that affect all countries and all individuals: no one is excluded, nor should anyone be left behind along the path needed to put the planet on the road to sustainability.

OUR CONTRIBUTION
A circular economy assumes that products (in our case, machinery) retain their functionality for as long as possible, to reduce the amount of new waste generated. When a machine has lost its usefulness to an owner, we reintroduce it back into the economic system after dealing with its overhaul. At the end of a machine’s life cycle, components are almost totally recycled as raw materials to be reintroduced into the economic system and to create new value.

Our recycling numbers (year 2021):
120,000 kg of fully recycled ferrous scrap
9,000 kg of electric motors
1,200 kg of copper cables
4,000 kg of waste oil sent for recycling
7,000 kg of disposed oil sludge

Production improvement services and technology upgrades to client enterprises.

2011: an 80-kilowatt photovoltaic panel system installed on the roof of the workshop allows us to meet 60% of the company’s internal energy needs and prevents the emission of about 40 tons of CO2 annually.
And in the future… We plan for an expansion of the warehouse by tripling the surface area to solar power.

2017 New LED lighting for workshop and offices, reducing electricity consumption for lighting by 50%.
2019 Installation of electric vehicle charging stations.
2020 New workshop heating system with electric heating panels.
2018-2022 New electric forklifts to replace older diesel ones.
And coming soon: new electric vehicles for Customer Service.
